There is a growing range of books, courses and membership sites for Genesis, all created by some of the most respected members of the community.
Books
- Changes in Genesis (by Gary Jones) – every six months or so, a leaner and meaner version of the Genesis Framework is released. Understanding those changes is key for the web developers in the community that use Genesis every day to build sites for clients. As one of the key contributors to the Genesis Framework, Gary Jones has recently started documenting these changes in his Changes in Genesis book. By buying his book, developers can save themselves an enormous amount of time with each Genesis release.
Courses
- Lynda.com (with Carrie Dils) – Now with five courses on industry leading online learning website Lynda.com, Carrie Dils takes you through everything from setting up Genesis to customising a theme, all designed with beginners in mind.
- Treehouse (with Jesse Petersen) – Jesse Petersen is a long time stalwart and respected member of the Genesis community, so it came as no surprise when popular online learning website, Treehouse, asked Jesse to work with them. His first course with Treehouse, Genesis Framework Foundation, is designed to help beginners get up and running on Genesis, but also includes more intermediate areas like theme modification.
Membership Sites
- Sridhar Katakam – From $47 a month, Sridhar Katakam’s membership area is an absolute bargain for those regularly writing code or tweaking sites built on the Genesis Framework. With over 700 tutorials available only to members, Sridhar covers almost any kind of Genesis tweak you can imagine (plus, as a member, you can request even more).
